Port Blair, Jan 21: A Women Wellness and Cancer Screening camp was organized recently at Birchgunj Military Station as part of 68th Army Day celebrations. The event was inaugurated by Smt Anita Sangwan, President AWWA, Port Blair. About 125 ladies attended the camp.
The event was conducted at Central MI Room, Birchgunj Military Station in coordination with a team of doctors from GB Pant hospital and dental specialist from INHS Dhanvantari with an aim to carryout medical tests as well as to educate and sensitise the women towards importance of their health.
The ladies were tested for basic health and screened for Oral, Breast and Cervical Cancer by gynaecologists Dr Manju Mehrotra and Dr Shirley PN, surgeons Dr Pooja Gogia Bhasin, dental Specialist from INHS Dhanvantari and their team.
