Port Blair, Jan 17: On 15.01.2016 on receipt of credible information from reliable sources regarding gambling near School Line, Ranchi Basti the District Special Team raided the place and apprehended eight persons namely Tapan Haldar (38) yrs, R/o School Line, (2) Utpal Bahadur (25) yrs, R/o Kamraj Nagar, (3) Tapan Mondal (42) yrs, R/o Dollygunj, (4) Subasish Gosh (23) yrs, R/o Kamraj Nagar, (5)Karthik Haldar (34) yrs, R/o Garacharma (6) Mohd. Imran (39) yrs, R/o Lamba Line, (7) Aminur Gazi (30) yrs R/o Pathargudda & (8) Vikash Maithy (30) yrs R/o Haddo and recovered Rs. 31820/- cash on personal search and other incriminating articles.
All of them were booked under A & N Islands Gambling Regulation, 1956 at PS Aberdeen.
