Port Blair, Jan 12: On 11.01.2016 on receipt of credible information from reliable sources regarding gambling at Shore Point near Primary School the police team of PS Bambooflat raided the place and apprehended five persons namely K. Abdul Salam (35) yrs, (2) P.Shiva (30) yrs, (3) T. Venkatase (40) yrs, (4) M. Prakash Tirkey all R/o Tapu Basti & (5) B. Kannan (33) yrs R/o Velluvar Nagar. An amount of cash Rs. 7230/- including personal search were recovered on the spot.
All of them were booked under A&N Islands Gambling Regulation, 1956 at PS Bambooflat and later they were released on bail from the P.S.
