Port Blair, Jan 6: The three-day Sabka Sath-Sabka Vikas, Public Information Campaign organized at Ferrgunj by Press information Bureau in coordination with Media Units of Ministry of I&B and the Andaman & Nicobar Administration came to close with valedictory function held in the second session of the third day at Football ground, Ferrargunj on Tuesday. The three day Jan Suchna Mahotsav was focus on the core flagship programmes of NDA government implemented by various departments to fuel rural growth during last 18 months. Programmes such as PM Mudra Yojana, PM Jan Dhan Yojana, Beti Bachao-Bati Padhao, Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, Digital India, etc were highlighted during the Mahotsav through verity of programmes.
A host of dignitaries including prominent citizens, Pradhans, PRI members, teachers and Govt. officials were present in the concluding function in which the Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha, Smt. Minati Biswas was the chief guest and Mr Sandeep Biswas, Pramukh, Black Panchayat Samiti, Ferrargunj was the guest of honour.
In her address, Smt. Biswas said that the real aim of the Mahotsav is to reach to the village level, where real India exists. The Adhyaksha added that some programmes like PM Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Mudra Yojana, etc are mainly implemented by the NDA Government for the upliftment of the every citizens, especially the rural level people. She added that that disbursing of information about welfare schemes through such campaign is very useful for rural people.
The ADG, PIB, Kolkata, Mr Debanjan Chakrabarti said that Public Information Campaign is people’s programme and urged people to come out and take benefit of PIC to aware themselves about government’s welfare programme.
Out of 32 stalls put-up by various departments, three best stalls were awarded with mementos by the chief guest and other dignitaries of the programme. The Directorate of Health Services got best stall award while Education Department and NABARD stood at second and third position respectively. During the campaign the PIB and DAVP conducted various competitions on the flagship programmes of the Government of India. Winners of these competitions were awarded with prize and certificates during the concluding function by the Chief Guest and dignitaries. APWD, Government Model senior Secondary School, Andaman & Nicobar Command were awarded mementoes for best supporting service.
In the first session of third day, the Directorate of Health Service conducted a quiz contest on “Health and Life Style” for various age groups which attracted the rural people and a large number of people participated in the contest. The winners of this quiz contest awarded cash prizes during the valedictory function. The NABARD has conducted a seminar for farmers and Self Help Groups at Football ground, Ferrargunj. Officials from NABARD interacted with participants on various schemes of NABARD for farmers and Self Help Group. Mr V.M. Vanol, Assistant Director, PIB also interacted with the farmers and he urged farmers to come out with concrete proposals for betterment of A&N Islands.
Smt. Minati Biswas, Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha, Mr Sandeep Biswas , Pramukh, Block Panchayat Samiti, Ferrargunj and ADG, PIB Kolkata also witnessed the cultural programme held in the evening and encouraged the artists. A Yoga session was also held during the evening.
Earlier, Mr V.M. Vanol, Assistant Director, PIB, Port Blair welcomed the gathering and expressed gratitude to the all participating departments and other agencies who rendered support in organizing the PIC at Ferrargunj.
