Port Blair, Jan 04: On the second day of Public Information Campaign Ferrargunj 3-Seminars were held, under the President ship of Shri. Sandeep Biwas, Pramukh Panchayat Samithy, Ferrargunj at community hall Ferrargunj in close co-ordination with SBI, A&N State Co-operate bank and Directorate of Health Services.
State Bank India organized a seminar on Banking and Finical inclusion. In his technical session the lead District Manager SBI Shri P.K.Ummer Farook explained the various Central Govt. Schemes related with the banking. He urged people do not share their debit card and password to any unknown person.
Information about the various schemes implemented by the various banks given in another seminar on ‘Micro banking & loan schemes of bank’. Officials of the A&N State Co-Op.Bank guided the audience about the various loan schemes. They also informed the audience about the various schemes for Self Help Group. The Directorate of Health Services held a seminar on Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Mission Indradhanush . Dr. Avijit Roy explained the importance of cleanliness for the health of people. Dr (Mrs) Pragati Chouhan emphasized on maintaining the child sex ratio in the Islands. Dr. Haldar informed the people about the Mission Indradhanush and urged the people to vaccinate their child without fail.
In his presidential speech Shri Sandeep Biswas said that PIC is a very useful and important programme for the rural people. He added that people can aware and equip themselves to get benefits of various welfare schemes of the Government. The Addl.Director General, Press Information Bureau, Kolkata appealed the people to take maximum benefits of the PIC.
In the evening various sports competition, cultural programme and film show and flagship programmes were arranged. A team of scientist from CIARI held an interaction programme for farmers.
