Port Blair, January 01: The Press Information Bureau, Port Blair will be organizing 7th Public Information Campaign from 3rd to 5 January at Ferrargunj, South Andaman.
The Campaign is set to be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Lt Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Island on 3rd January at 10:30 am in the football ground of Ferrargunj Tehsil. Hon’ble Member of Parliament Mr Bishnu Pada Ray will be Guest of Honour.
Addressing a media conference, the Additional Director General, PIB, Mr Divanjan Chakraborty said that the theme of the campaign is based on “Sabka Sath-Sabka Vikas” a slogan given by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Mr Narendra Modi.
“The aim of organizing this campaign is to communicate the importance and benefits of the central Government’s flagship programmes and its implement done in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands,” Mr Divanjan added.
In order to project the development undertaken by the different departments of the administration, central government, Department and Defense, 30 numbers of the stalls have been constructed with the help of A&N administration. Through these stalls, not only development undertaken by the administration in different fields will be projected but also the implementation for public welfare during the last one year of NDA regime will be focused.
The queries of the public, students who will be visiting these stalls will be explained through printed literature and by competent officials during the campaign.
For entertainment, populace feature films carrying the social massage will be screened in the exhibition premises along with short details of Prime Minister’s flagship programmes to give wide publicity. The details of the screening will be made available on the day to day basis. Arrangements have also been made for cultural programmes for public entertainment. Food stalls will be made available for public.
Seminars will also be organized by the different programmes on the Government of India’s flagship programmes in the community Hall, Ferrargunj for creating awareness and wider publicity.
