Port Blair, Jan 1: The exhibit presented by Jaisvin K. Mon, a student of Govt Model School Port Blair in the 42nd Jawaharlal Nehru National Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition held at Ernakulam, Kerala recently, has been selected for the Raashtreeya Kishor Vaigyanik Sammelan to be held from Jan 3, 2016 at the University of Mysore, Karnataka. The Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi will inaugurate the sammelan.
Jaisvin K. Mon and his Guide teacher Chanchal Dey will get the opportunity to display their unique model ‘Disaster Saver’ at the National Level. Altogether, 211 models on different themes from the different schools of the country were displayed at the Ernakulam Exhibition, out of which 16 best models were selected for the National Science Congress. Eminent Space Scientist, the Ex Chairman of ISRO Dr. K Radha Krishnan inaugurated the Exhibition and he appreciated the effort taken by the Island student and his Guide teacher. He hoped that if the model is upgraded seeing the practical condition, it may really be an effective tool to save the life of a person in sea.
Meanwhile Jaisvin is very excited for the upcoming Kishor Vaigyanik Sammelan. Wishing good luck to Jaisvin the Principal of the school Dr. Dheeraj Kumar said that it’s a great memorable occasion for the school and the Islands’ students.
