Port Blair, Dec 30: A solemn function was held on Monday to commemorate the anniversary of first flag hoisting by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in the year 1943. The Chairperson, Municipal Council, Smt Sheela Singh offered floral tribute at the Netaji statue at Marina Park followed by Senior Vice Chairperson, Junior Vice Chairperson, Councillors, Director (Art and Culture) and other officials of the Council. She also laid wreath at the Martyrs Memorial and Battle of Aberdeen.
