Port Blair, Dec 18: The weeklong Silver Jubilee celebrations of 108 Mountain Brigade culminated with Silver Jubilee Dinner at the Brigade Officers’ Mess at Brichgunj Military station. The evening was graced by Vice Admiral PK Chatterjee, PVSM, AVSM, NM, Commander-in-Chief, Andaman and Nicobar Command and Mrs Sharmistha Chatterjee, President Defence Wives Welfare Association (DWWA). Officers of HQ Andaman and Nicobar Command, and other Components alongwith civilian dignitaries also attended the event. Brigadier Amir Singh, VSM welcomed all the guests and the Army Postal Service commemorated the Silver Jubilee by issuing a special First Day cover, which was released by the CINCAN. It was followed by cake cutting and unveiling of the Silver Jubilee trophy commemorating the historic event. The guests were treated to a wonderful and interactive entertaining evening, laced with impromptu performances by talented men from the Brigade.
