Port Blair, Nov 29: The Annual Day function of Navy Children School, Port Blair aptly named ‘Mélange’ was held at DBRAIT Auditorium on 28 Nov 15. It was a splendid display of students’ talent in the field of the creative performances of dancing, singing and acting.
The function was inaugurated by Maj Gen PK Siwach, Chief of Staff, Andaman & Nicobar Command, Chairman, NCS (PBR), by lighting the lamp. The Principal welcomed the audience and enunciated the main achievements of the school in the Academic Year. This was followed by an enthralling cultural fiesta by around 600 students. The riveting programme started with the Vandana Dance followed by engaging acts by tiny tots showcasing their talent through dance-drama on “Swachh Bharat” and versatility with choir singing and dancing. The Primary and Secondary sections were not far behind, with stimulating acts on “Shiksha Ka Badalta Swarup”, “The British Court”, Dance, Patriotic song and spellbinding performance of Orchestra. A harmonious blend of dance forms of the neighbouring countries unveiled the mysteries of the orient.
The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and congratulated the teachers and students for their superlative performance, team work and vibrancy. The event culminated with the audience, performers and organisers all standing in attention to the National Anthem.
