Port Blair, Nov 23: On 21st Nov. 2015, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya celebrated Janma Shati parva of Eknathji Ranade at Community Hall, Chouldari Bazar at around 10.00 a.m. Smti. Minati Biswas, Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, S/Andaman was the Chief guest and Shri. Subir Chander, Up-Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, S/Andaman was the Guest of Honour.
Shri. Mohan Halder, Pradhan, Chouldari, Smti. Preetima Kumari, Pradhan, Namunaghar and Dr. Satish, Sr. Veterinary Officer, Animal Husbandry, Port Mout also graced the function as a special Guest. Around 400 students and 350 parents were present to witness the program.
In the beginning Smti. Sita Das, Principal, VKZPV Port Mout addressed the gathering, the program started with lighting the traditional lamp and teachers gave a speech on the significance of the day and students of the Vidyalaya Presented songs and Skit based on Eknathji’s life.
Thereafter, prizes were distributed to the winner students. The chief guest and guest of honour appreciated and encouraged the students to be a role model for the future generation and also Shri. Mohan Halder, Pradhan encouraged the students and gave an inspirational message to all. Atlast, Smti. Nisha Yadav proposed the vote of thanks.
