Port Blair, Nov 22: A meeting of the Taxi Union was convened on Sunday at the Public Grievance Cell, Delanipur to elect members for the Union. The meeting unanimously elected Mr K Ganeshan as Patron, Mr E Arumugam as President, Mr Satya Narayan as Vice President, Mr PS Saboo as General Secretary, Mr M Murugan as Joint Secretary and Mr Dharmalingam as Cashier. The meeting also elected twelve executive members for the Union. The meeting also decided to construct Waiting Sheds, demand drinking water connection and install signages at all the Taxi Stands in the city.
