Port Blair, Nov 19: All commercial vehicle owners have been advised to park their vehicles in their designated parking space mentioned in the Permit of the vehicle and refrain from the practice of parking their vehicles on roads, footpaths etc. The roads and footpaths are meant exclusively for free flow of vehicular traffic and pedestrians and capturing of roads, footpaths, pavements and way side amenities by illegal & unauthorized parking of vehicles is strict violation of MV Act.
Vehicle owners have been informed that any commercial vehicle found abandoned or left unattended on a public place or parked in a place other than its designated parking mentioned in the permit of the vehicle or where parking is legally prohibited will warrant action under section 127 & Section 86 of the MV Act 1988.
