Port Blair, Nov 16: The 9th Death Anniversary of Comrade R. Pious D’silva, former President of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association and CITU, A & N State Committee was observed today (16.11.2015). A remembrance meeting was held at Crusade House, Phoenix Bay at 6.30 p.m. today where speakers recalled the contribution of Comrade R. Pious D’silva to the working class movement in these islands. Speakers called upon the leaders and activists of working class movement to emulate the honesty, dedication and hardworking of Com. Pious.
Shri S.N. Mishra, Vice President, presided the meeting, Shri B. Chandrachoodan, General Secretary, CITU, State Committee, Shri D. Ayyappan, Former General Secretary and Shri TS Sreekumar, General Secretary, Smti Nasreen Begum, Organising Secretary, Shri G.P. Mondal, Vice President, SATB and Shri S.L. Vinjit, Joint Secretary, SATB of Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association spoke on the occasion.
