Port Blair, Nov 11: As part of social activity, 65 NCC cadets, ANOs and PI staff of 1 A&N (I) Inf Coy NCC and 1 AN Navel Unit NCC visited Abhyzsudya Vridh Ashram and Orphanage at Ferrargunj on Tuesday. The cadets interacted with inmates of the Vridh Ashram and carried out area cleanliness. A small cultural programme was also organised by the cadets for the inmates of the Vridh Ashram and the Orphanage. The gesture shown by the cadets was appreciated by the inmates. Sweets and gifts were also distributed to the children of the Orphanage. The Commanding Officers of both the units & CDPO A&N Administration were also present on the occasion. The social activity was undertaken to create awareness among the NCC Cadets of their obligation towards the elderly and the society so as to make them better citizen of country.
