Diglipur, Nov 09: The entire Diglipur region was today under the cover of darkness, as due to land sliding at Kalara area of North Andaman the electricity lines suffered heavy damages.
According to information received here a land sliding was reported from the Kalara area of Diglipur this afternoon, which knocked down as many as four electric polls.
As per reports officials of Electricity Department have reached the spot and are trying to restore the power lines as soon as possible.
The darkness, clubbed with heavy rain in Diglipur region has already dampened the Diwali excitement in the entire region.
