Baratang, Nov 06: The annual multi – disciplinary exhibition was organized in GSSS Oralkatcha, Baratang on the 6th 2015. Murali Sankaar. K, IFS, DFO, Baratang, N&M Andaman was the chief guest on the occasion. He inaugurated the function by cutting the ribbon and lighting the traditional lamp. The multi-disciplinary exhibition Gyanmanthan covered all the subjects including Science, Social Science, Language, Physical education and Art & craft. Altogether more than 80 exhibits were displayed. All were worth informative, innovative creative & exquisite.
Keeping in view of new development in every field of Science and technology, students projected exquisite models on the concerned topics. The young scientists showed their extraordinary cognitive and creative thinking in preparing models. Emphasis was given on various issues and realistic solutions were also suggested including Organic farming, Irrigation system, Renewable energy resources and medicinal plants.
In mathematics, students framed the higher concept in a very imaginative way with its applications various puzzles and mind games were displayed which attracted the attention of everyone and added spark to the interest of the visitors.
The exhibits of language including Hindi and English basically highlighted the Linguistic components vocabulary enrichment including word game and fun with English language which were appreciated by one and all.
The students were not lag behind in showing their creativity in making handicraft items. The knitting works were eye – catching. There was a display of eco- friendly items made out of waste. The marvelous flower show added to the delight of every visitor. A large gathering of public parents and students of other school in Baratang witnessed the exhibition.
The chief guest along with the Pradhan, PRI Members SMC Members and dignitaries of various departments applauded the efforts of the students and teachers and hoped that in coming future also, more efforts will be taken to upkeep the scientific temperament and innovative ideas among students as such events will provide exposure to the students coming from far flung areas of this island to showcase the contemporary contexts.
