Port Blair, Nov 02: The Confederation of Central Govt. Employees & Workers, New Delhi decided to organize nationwide campaign and protest programme against the negative attitude of the NDA government towards various demands of Central Government employees.
The campaign and protest Dharna will be organized mainly on issues like non settlement of legitimate demands raised by JCM Staff Side; Causing engineered delay by the Government in submission of 7th CPC report by granting four months extension upto 31st December, 2015 and Unwarranted intervention of the Finance Ministry in the functioning of Pay Commission.
An extended Central Executive meeting of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association held on 31.10.2015 at Crusade House, Port Blair decided to organize intensive campaign and protest programme all along the islands in support of the nationwide protest programmes.As per the decision, intensive campaign will be conducted among Government employees during the period 5th to 10th November, 2015. Massive protest demonstration will be organized on 19th November, 2015 all along the islands.
Shri T.S.Sreekumar, General Secretary of the Association expressed grave concern over the undue delay/apathy of Central Government towards various long pending demands viz., i) Non-settlement of anomalies of 6th CPC ii) Scraping of National Pension Scheme iii) Remove arbitrary ceiling on compassionate appointment iv) Removing ban on post creation and filling up of vacant posts etc. Shri P.Satyapal, Shri G.P.Mondal, Shri Anand Raj and other members expressed their views in the meeting. Shri H.L.Prasad, President of the Association presided over the meeting.
