Mayabunder, November 01: Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was observed yesterday at Mayabunder. All the Government Departments, Officers, Staffs, general public participated to take the pledge on the occasion.
However, as per reports, a large crowd was expected in “Run for Unity” from Dhanapur to Netaji ground, but the crowd was very less. The Superintendant of Police, Mr Santhosh Kumar Meena, flag off the “Run for Unity” march.
Meanwhile, As a part of Nation Level Celebration of Sardar Vallabbai Patel Birth Anniversary on 31.10.2015 and Nation Integration Day a “RUN FOR UNITY“ was organised by Govt. Sr.Sec. School Rangat at 06.30 am.
The march was Flagged off by Shri. S.S Rawath(DANICS) Asst. Commissioner, Middle Andaman Rangat in the Presence of Shri. Sushen Mallick, DEO Rangat and BDO, Head of Department. The march at Rangat started from STS bus stand terminus Rangat passing and culminated at GSSS Ranagt.
Students, teachers, revenue officials, STSDept, Gram Panchyat Rangat representatives general public employees of various departments participated in the unity run.
