Diglipur, Oct 31: To cater growing demand of tourism sector the administration is constructing a Helipad at Sagar Dweep, which is situated on the other side of Ross and smith beach. At present Diglipur Sub Division is having only one Helipad at V S Pally.
Asst. Commissioner Shri A K Trivedi and other staff of MNREGA and revenue recently inspected the ongoing work at the spot. The Helipad is being constructed on 2500sq mt land.
Presently earthwork cutting is carried on and it is estimated that it will be completed during December. After this, further construction works will be started.
The helipad is at about 2 KM from the Sagar Dweep Jetty, it will be useful for Tourism purpose as well as Medical evacuation purposes, in case of emergency.
