Port Blair, Oct 11:
Indian Red Cross Society, A & N branch conducted a refresher training of First Medical Responders (FMRs) volunteers at District level today at Conference hall of Gram Panchayat Subhash Gram at Diglipur.
This training was helpful for a task force, by training the volunteers about public health, first aid, water and sanitation and to respond disaster like situation.
The Chief Guest on this occasion Mr. N. S. Stalin, SHO Diglipur described about importance of FMRs in case of any disaster. The Resource persons were Mr. Chanchal Singha Roy and T. N. Natarajan. About 40 volunteers participated this programme.
