Mayabunder, Oct 11: Today Swearing in ceremony of Adhyaksha and Up-Adhyaksh was held in the Zilla Parishad Community Hall near Murugan Temple, Mayabunder.
Ms Prabhabati Biswas, newly elected Adhyaksha and Shri A. Tirupathi Rao, newly elected Up-Adhyaksh for the first term has taken the oath during the function before the dignitaries.
Hardly a few District level Officers from various departments attended the function though the invitation from Zilla Parishad N&M Andaman was issued to all District level Officers to attend the function.
Adding to the plight electricity failed during the very important function participated by top dignitaries of N & M Andaman, like District Administrator.
The general Public expected an uninterrupted power supply but when the Deputy Commissioner of the District addressed the gathering the power supply failed.
General Public is already facing frequent power failures in District Head Quarter, Mayabunder since past few years.
