Port Blair, Oct 8: Lectures, Nukkad Nataks and Puppet shows were organized in all Wards of the Municipal Council to generate awareness on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan particularly the importance of segregating dry and solid waste recently. The campaign was organized under the guidance of Smt Sheela Singh, Chairperson, PBMC in association with Dr Poonam Arora, Member, Swachh Bharat Team nominated by the Member of Parliament, Mr Bishnu Pada Ray, Inner Wheel Club of Port Blair and Chetna. The campaign was launched on Oct 4, 2015 and conducted in Municipal Ward nos. 10, 11, 15, 16 and 9. All Ward Councillors actively participated in the campaign, which will cover the remaining Wards by the end of this month.
