Port Blair, Sept 30: The NGO, Vidya Yuvakendra Foundation (VYF), committed for skill development of the youth, has signed an MoU with Larsen & Toubro Ltd, pioneering construction skill training, institute i.e. L&T, CSTI, Kanchipuram to offer free three month training in civil construction trades for youth of these islands.
Experts from L&T Construction Skill Training Institute (CSTI), Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, will impart the training in disciplines like masonry, bar binding, plumbing, construction electrician, carpentry under NSDC. Local unemployed youth can avail the benefit of the free three-month training for which L&T CSTI will provide free boarding and lodging and Rs.500/- pm as a stipend. Certificates will be given under NSDC/NCVT after successful completion of the training.
