Port Blair, Sept 15: The Director General of Police, Mr Rajesh Malik, interacted with stakeholders of tuition/coaching of these islands at Police Head Quarters, Atlanta Point recently. The DGP appreciated the role played by tuition centres in imparting quality education and helping children in qualifying competitive exams.
During the interaction, the owners of Tuition/Coaching centre interacted on issues such as anti social behaviour, trouble spots, eve teasing, drug addiction, inter-coaching rivalry, parking related issues, students indulging in undesirable activities between classes etc.
The DGP instructed all Tuition/Coaching centres for installing CCTV Monitoring system, attendance monitoring system with SMS alert for parents, briefing session to be held for awareness of children, regular parent teacher meetings within specified periodicity and also on complaints of issues related to overcharging and students being forced to join certain coaching classes. Further the DGP assured of all possible help from the police department to maintain law & order and prevent any crime.
