Port Blair, Sept 7: The NCC cadets of Junior Army Division of GSSS Havelock led by NCC teacher, Mr. Prakash Howladar conducted a Safai Abhiyan in and around Havelock Bazar recently. All solid waste especially empty glass wine bottles, plastic water and soft drink bottles, plastic packing paper etc. were collected and dumped in dustbin. The general public and tourists of Havelock appreciated the effort. An appeal was also made to the residents of Havelock to keep the island clean by discarding garbage in proper places, dustbin etc. Refreshments were provided to the cadets, a release says.
