Diglipur, Sept 03: The SP N & M Andaman, Mr. Santosh Kumar Meena , IPS today interacted with Shopkeepers , PRIs, Pachayat election contesting candidates and all Political party leaders at Conference hall of PS Diglipur. In the meeting DYSP Chandra Kumar Singh, SHO N S Stalin and other Police officers were present.
During the meeting issues related to Model code of conduct, Defacement rules of election, Cyber laws, Whatsapp messages circulation awareness, dediction, Prevention of Child marriage, Child abuse, Traffic violations and awareness about Swatch Bharat Abhiyan etc matters were discussed.
During the meeting, the issues related to sale of cough syrup and other prescription medicines to the children, youth and others through pharmacy shops were discussed. The owners of medical shops were advised not to sell any such items without proper prescription of registered medical practitioners.
They were sensitized to inform Police about any suspicious person/ who regularly demanded such items without any valid reason.
At last they were informed that precautionary measures and stringent methods should be adopted to check substance abuse and they were requested to co-operate with the police to safeguard the future of the children and youth.
The SP has assured that the all possible efforts & cooperation will be provided to all Shopkeepers on safety & security and also appealed to all the Shopkeepers to ensure the overall betterment of the prevalent situation.
