Port Blair, Sept 3: The Indian Navy will recruit sailors as per the Naval Recruitment Plan in all the states and Union Territories of the country, which contribute to give it an all India character. The Recruitment Examination is conducted twice a year for the youth of Andaman And Nicobar Islands at INS Jarawa, Port Blair during Mar/Apr And Sep/Oct every year. Indian Navy is undertaking various measures to create awareness regarding career prospects and encourage the youth to utilize the opportunity.
Accordingly, a recruitment drive is planned for the resident youth of Andaman and Nicobar Islands for the senior secondary recruits (SSR)-01/2016 batch. The recruitment drive will be conducted at INS Jarawa, Port Blair on Sept 9, 2015 from 8 am. The applicants have been requested to bring necessary documents as per the proforma. On arrival at INS Jarawa, the documents will be verified. Once eligibility of the candidates is ascertained, briefing will be carried out and applicable tests will commence in batches.
