Port Blair, August 18: The Jarawa man Mr Kahame, 54 years old, who was attacked by a crocodile yesterday at R K Nallah, Jirkatang is said to be out of danger.
According to doctor though he is out of danger but he will be immobile for some weeks as both the bones of his right leg got fractured in the incident.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, the Medical Superintendent, G B Pant Hospital, Dr M K Saha today said that the operation of the crocodile attacked Jarawa man was conducted yesterday at 10pm and the operation took two hours.
He said that the Jarawa man’s both bones of the lower part of the right leg were fractured and that is taken care off now.
“We will keep removing dead cells of the Jarawa man on regular basis to control infection,” Dr Saha added.
