Port Blair, Aug 18: The Defence Wives Welfare Association (DWWA) organized Badminton Championship – 2015 for ladies of all components in the Andaman & Nicobar Command recently at Coast Guard Indoor Sports Complex. All components enthusiastically participated in the event conducted in two categories i.e Member Ladies and Members of the Ladies Club.
Smt Srivasavi and Smt Sudha Singh of AFWWA and Smt Namarata of AWWA were declared winner in doubles and singles respectively in Welfare Member category. Smt Rupali Gill and Smt Devika Praveen of CGWWA and Smt Kriti Sinha of NWWA were declared winner in doubles and singles respectively in Ladies Club Members category. The Vice President DWWA, Smt Madhu Siwach presented Certificates and Trophies to the winners. She congratulated winners and complemented all ladies for wholehearted participation and making the event a grand success.
