Port Blair, August 16: A student of class 12th committed suicide at her house at Pongy Kyaung this afternoon.
According to reports, the girl was a student of Haddo Telugu Medium School and was compartment in two subjects viz. Commerce and Drawing but when she could not clear even the compartment exam, she took this extreme step out of depression.
However talking to Andaman Sheekha, the father of the girl blamed teachers of the school who reportedly advised her to attempt only drawing exam and not commerce exam to clear class XII. He also said that earlier her daughter got 8 marks in the Drawing subject but in compartment exam she could score only 4 marks.
“I completely blame the school for this,” the father of the girl alleged.
