Port Blair, Aug 14: The Chairperson, Municipal Council, Mr M Arumugam, inaugurated a Shopping Complex in the first floor (2nd block) at Dairyfarm, Ward no. 8, on Friday in the presence of Ward Councillor, Smt P Bharathi and other officials of the Council. in his address, Mr Arumugam said that the shopping complex will benefit unemployed youth of the Ward, who can run business for a livelihood. Appreciating the Ward Councillor, Smt Bharathi for time-bound completion of the project, the Municipal Chairman sought the cooperation of the public for proper upkeep of the premises.
Welcoming the gathering, the Chairperson, FTA Sub Committee, Mr K Ganeshan highlighted the initiatives of the Council towards providing basic amenities to citizens. He also complimented the engineering wing for timely completion of the Complex. The Municipal Councillor, Mr PB Murugan proposed the vote of thanks.
