Port Blair, Aug 13: The Chairperson, Municipal Council, Mr M Arumugam inaugurated Shops and Health Club at Lal Bijan, Dairyfarm, near ANIIDCO Milk Plant on Thursday. The Councillor, Ward no. 10, Mr PB Murugan and senior officials of the Council were present on the occasion.
In his address, Mr Arumugam said that inauguration of the Health Club was fulfilled a long pending demand of the residents of the area. He also urged citizens to extend cooperation for proper maintenance of the public assets.
Welcoming the gathering, the Chairperson, FTA Sub-Committee, Mr K Ganeshan, highlighted the initiatives of the Municipal Council to provide basic amenities to the citizens. The Senior Vice Chairman, Mr Mahender Prasad proposed the vote of thanks.
