Port Blair, Aug 11: In its bid to provide community services to the South Andaman District, the Zilla Parishad, South Andaman under its programme “Zilla Parishad Aapke Paas-Aapke Saath” will conduct a Multipurpose Camp at Tushnabad Community Hall on Aug 14 from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm in association with Social Welfare Department and PRIs. Cases related to Old Age Pension, Widow Pension, Destitute Assistance and Disability Assistance will be examined and sanctioned during the camp. Disabled persons who had not received any such assistance will also be examined by the Health Officials and necessary certificate will be issued.
Officers/Officials from Revenue Department and Social Welfare Department will be present in the camp to examine the documents and to issue the required certificates on the spot. The local residents of Tushnabad, Mithakhari, Guptapara, Humphrygunj, Chouldari, Namunaghar Ferrargunj and Brindaban Panchayats who had not yet received any final assistance under the schemes can be benefited from this camp. Ms V.K. Mariyam Bibi, Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman has appealed to all residents of the Panchayats to avail the opportunity and get benefited from the various schemes of Social Welfare Department.
