Port Blair, Aug 11: Continuing crackdown on In continuation of fight against illegal activities, a Police team consisting of ASI, Rakesh Singh, HCs S. Thimmiraj, Suden Dey, Ibrahim, Kuldip Singh, PCs Somen Biswas, Veeranchatty, Vinodh Kumar, Milton Baul, Arun Xxa and Suraj Kumar of Special Branch CID, Port Blair apprehended 13 Gamblers namely Subhash Biswas, S. Suresh, S. Kutty Babu, G. Tirupathi, Krishna Rao, S. Mohan Rao, Aziz Ahmed, Sudhansu Bala, G. Ashok Kumar, K. Kailasan, V. Kanan, John Bosco and M. Kumar who were involved in gambling on 08/08/2015 at Junglighat Truck Stand and recovered ₹. 17,755/- (Rupees Seventeen Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Five only) from the spot. They were challaned under the Andaman & Nicobar Gambling Regulation.
In an another raid on 10/08/15, a raiding team comprising of ASI Rakesh Singh, HC Thimmi Raj, PCs Somen Biswas, Suraj Kumar, Muthu Swamy and Arun Xaxa of Special Branch, CID conducted raid at STS Bus Stand, Port Blair and seized 42 bottles of Liquor from the possession of R. Kannan R/o Adazig, Baratang and I. Dinesh R/o Prem Nagar. They have been arrested under Excise Regulation.
