Port Blair, Aug 11: The A&N Islands Khadi & Village Industries Board (ANKVIB) will organize an ‘awareness campaign-cum-peoples education programme on PMEGP’ and other Govt. sponsored self-employment schemes in association with the Directorate of Industries, Agriculture, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, MSME-DI, NYKS, Banks & Tribal Council / PRIs at Little Andaman. The awareness programme will be held at Panchayat Samiti, Hut Bay at 10 am and at Harminder Bay, Little Andaman at 3 pm on Aug 12.
Similar awareness programme will also be held at Gram Panchayat, V.K.Pur at 10 am and at Gram Panchayat, R.K.Pur at 4 pm on Aug 13.
The objective of these programmes is to disseminate information to the participants about the role of A&NI KVIB and other likeminded agencies such as Industries, Agriculture, Directorate of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, MSME-DI and Banks towards rural industrialization through establishment of micro-enterprises duly availed finance under PMEGP and other Govt. sponsored self employment schemes. All the loan applications which will be received under PMEGP scheme will be placed before the District Level Task Force Committee for recommending the deserving cases to the concerned banks for finance.
The unemployed / underemployed youths of the concerned area who intend to setup their self employment venture under manufacturing / service / Business sector duly availed finance under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme [PMEGP scheme] have been requested to attend the programme as per the venue, date & time specified above alongwith two copies of passport size photographs, attested copies of local certificate / islander identity card, ration card, educational qualification / training certificates, if any etc. for filling up of loan applications under the captioned scheme on the spot.
