Port Blair, Aug 11: The 23rd Installation Ceremony of Inner Wheel Club of Port Blair for the year 2015-16 was held at Fortune Resort Bay Island on 9th Aug 2015. The Chief Secretary A & N Administration Shri Anand Prakash graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Chief Guest appreciated the members of Inner Wheel Club for their efforts in reaching out to the less privileged members of society in the field of education, health etc.
The programme was marked by the chief guest handing over the charter to the incoming president Mrs. Priya Krishna and wished the newly elected office bearers a very successful year and assured all possible support from the Administration.
The elected President Mrs. Priya Krishna addressing the gathering ensured to keep the Inner Wheel banner flagged high with the support of the new elected team as – Vice President – Mrs. Anita Puria Secretary – Dr. Jahanara Yasmeen Treasurer – Mrs. Renu Chani I S O – Mrs. Binita Kundu Editor – Mrs. Shukla Choudhary the outgoing President Mrs. Komal Anand thanked her team members for their full support and cooperation to successfully completing the projects undertaken for the year 2014-15.
Club bulletin was released by the chief guest and club`s former Editor Mrs. Farida jointly on the occasion.
The club members also observed a one minute silence as a mark of respect to the former President, Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the Vice President Mrs. Anita Puria.
