Port Blair, Aug 10: The State Level National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) for the students presently studying in Class X (Tenth) and the State level National Means – cum – Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) Examination for the students studying in Class VIII (Eight) will be conducted in these Islands on 7th November, 2015 from 10 am to 1 pm.
Students who are presently studying in class – 10th (Tenth) can apply for the NTS examination. But the student must have secured minimum 55% of marks or equivalent grade in class IX annual examination 2015.(Relaxable by 5% for SC/ST)
Students who are presently studying in Class – VIII (Eight) of Government Schools/Local body and from Govt.Aided Schools only can apply for the National Means – cum – Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) Examination. The student must have secured minimum 55% of marks or equivalent grade in class VII annual examination,2015 (Relaxable by 5% for SC/ST) and the parental annual income should not be exceeded Rs.1,50,000/-.
Accordingly all the Zonal Officers, Principals and Head Masters of Govt., Local Body, Govt. aided, KendriyaVidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya and Private Schools have been requested to collect the specimen copies of the application forms from the Office of the Principal, SIE/Nodal Officer, NTS/NMMSS. The application forms can also be down loaded from the A&N website wwwand.nic.in.
Last date of receipt of filled in application in all respect in the office of the Principal, SIE/Nodal Officer (NTS/NMMSS) is 31st August, 2015. Application submitted after the due date will not be entertained. Further clarification can be obtained over telephone number 232730.
