Port Blair, August 08: Andaman Nicobar unit of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced that it will not contest in coming Municipal and Panchayat Elections.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, the former Loksabha candidate of Aam Aadmi Party, Mr Sanjay Meshack has said that it has been decided by the Party High command in Delhi that the AAP unit of A & N Islands should not contest the coming local Body Elections.
“The Party High Command has directed the AAP unit of A & N Islands to do ground level work for public of these Islands. The party high command has asked us to make a strong base and make the party ready for 2019 elections,” Mr Meshack said.
Mr Sanjay Meshack further added that the party supporters have however got the approval to contest independently in the coming local body elections and the party workers will independently contest the elections.
