Port Blair, Aug 5: The Indian Meteorological Department, Kolkata has forecast heavy rain (7-12cm) at isolated places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the next 24 hours. Under the influence of strong southwest monsoon current , strong Southwesterly wind speed between 35 and 45 kilometer per hour gusting to 55 kilometer per hour and rough to very rough seas are likely along and off Andaman and Nicobar coasts. Fishermen have been advised not to venture in to the sea. LCS III hoisted at Port Blair Port.
