Port Blair, Aug 4: The BMS, A & N Islands organized an awareness-cum-Pass Book Distribution programme at Labour Club, Haddo on Monday in the association of A & N Building & Others Construction Workers Welfare Board. In his address as the chief guest, the Labour Commissioner of A&N Administration, Mr Madhusudhan Baidya highlighted various labour welfare schemes. The BJP President of A&N Islands, Mr Vishal Jolly said that the government is determined to uplift the socio-economic justice to the working class. He also urged the gathering to avail benefits of various welfare schemes launched by the government. Mr Rishi Lall, Assistant Labour Commissioner of A&N Islands also spoke on the occasion.
The BMS Secretary, Mr M. Veeranna, Secretary BMS organized the event. Mr K. Bhattacherjee, Working President, BMS and Mr Krishna Rao, noted social worker of the area were present on the occasion. Mr Ashok Kumar, General Secretary, BMS is propose vote of thanks.
