Port Blair, July 27: To generate awareness on Fire Prevention – Fire Protection including Fire Risk and Disaster Preparedness among school and college students, government officials and general public, a lecture-cum-demonstration classes on ‘First Aid Fire Fighting, Disaster Mitigation and Medical First Aid’ was conducted at all Fire Stations including Stations in different parts of these islands from July 20-25, 2015 in all schools, Govt. Offices and public places in the three districts. Altogether, 1466 school students, 98 teachers, 199 government employees and 82 members from the general public attended the training programmes, a release from the Chief Fire Officer, Mr MK Shukla said.
