Port Blair, July 24: Alongwith the Nation in these Islands also, the 60th Foundation Day (Sthapna Diwas) of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh was celebrated yesterday with much gaiety and enthusiasm by the Members of the BMS, A&N Islands. On this occasion, the BMS Flag was hoisted by Shri Ashishji Mondal, Vibhag Pracharak, Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS), A&N Islands. A large number of workers/ members of affiliated Sanghs were present.
In his address, Shri Ashish Mondal elaborated about the formation of BMS and threw light on the life and works of the Founder President of BMS, Shri Dattopent Ji Thengdi and urged the BMS workers to take inspiration from the works of Thengdi ji. He also urged to work hard for the welfare of the working classes, poor and downtrodden people of these Islands.
At the outset, Shri. M. Veeranna, BMS State Organizing Secretary welcomed the gathering while Shri. Ashok Kumar, BMS State General Secretary proposed the vote of thanks, a communication said.
