Port Blair, July 12: Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, PCC President along with a delegation of Andaman Plantation and Development Corporation called on the Lt Governor on 11th July, 2015 at Raj Niwas and submitted about their uncertain future subsequent taking over the plantation by the Administration after completion of the lease period.
Kuldeep stated that since all the workers of the Corporation are on road due to no shelter and means to earn livelihood for them, he has requested the Lt Governor to kindly revive the lease period or provide rehabilitation to the 200 odd workers on humanitarian ground.
Kuldeep has also submitted the difficulties being faced by the inhabitant of Moose village of Nicobar due to land erosion by the Sea waves has requested to consider reconstruction of suitable sea wall.
The Lt Governor has given a patience hearing and assured to look into the matters.
