Kalighat,021 July: An Awareness Programme on Cyber Hygiene and Cyber Crime yesterday held at Conference Hall of PS Kalighat. Senior citizens, auto drivers, Local residents attended this programme.
On this occasion SHO, PS Kalighat Shri Dilla Rao made aware of the attendees about the various types of Cyber crimes and Chit Fund scams and ATM Frauds.
Later they also sanitized about the Cyber Crimes particularly cyber crimes committed upon innocent citizens of these Islands where their modus operandi of the accused in such cases to send SMSes or mails to the victims about winning of lottery/will/online competition. The Police staff also advised the general public not to act upon such SMSes.
