Port Blair, June 11: Batting for large number of local Bengali population beside people from West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and other parts of North India etc who are residing in these island and feel deprived of low fared chartered flights, which their counterparts of Chennai and Vizag sectors are enjoying, Kuldeep Rai Sharma, PCC President has requested the Lt Governor to consider introducing of such flights for Kolkata sectors also. In his letter Kuldeep, while appreciating the initiative taken by the Lt Governor for introducing of chartered flights to Chennai and Vizag sector for the welfare of the population of these islands of those sectors, has requested to consider introducing such flights for Kolkata sector also which will be beneficial to a large number of populace of these islands who may avail economical air travel for their treatments and other urgent works. This arrangement will also be in the interest of the students of these islands for whom the Administrator always gives special attention.
