Port Blair, June 11: An organization in name of ‘Nicobar Chamber of Commerce & Industry’ (NCCI) has been formed. The NCCI has been registered under Societies Act 1860, vide Registration No. 0007/2014 with an intention to safeguard and uplift the tribal businessmen in the Nicobar District.
Formation of NCCI has been long felt need of the tribal businessmen who had no voice in the mainstream business society till now. “I take this opportunity to thank the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modiji, the Lt. Governor Lt. Gen (Retd) A.K. Singh, the Chief Secretary, Shri Anand Prakash, IAS and the esteemed Administration for all support rendered in this regard,” a release from Mr. Rashid Yusuf said here today.
