Port Blair, June 05: The consecration ceremony (Kumbhabhishekam) of the newly constructed Shree Munisuvrat Swamy Jain temple within Shree Radha Govind temple premises at R.G.T. road, Port Blair, will be performed as per Jain rituals at 10.30 am on Sunday 7th June 2015.
This temple is a fully engraved marble structure built in typical Jain style for the past two years by sculptors and artisans brought from Rajasthan.
The main deity of this temple is Shree Munisuvrat Swamy who is the 20th Thirthankar in Jainism.
The other deities to be installed are the Navagrahas with their lords, Ambal, Mahalakshmi, Padmavathi Devi and Chakkeshwari Devi with their respective Vahanams.
All the deities are sculptured out of pure marble. This is one of the unique temples of our islands constructed with the whole hearted support and personal supervision of Shri Singhvi brothers and family of Chennai & Bangalore.
The temple committee has requested all devotees to grace the auspicious occasion and obtain the blessings of Lord Shree Munisuvrat Swamy and the Navagrahas.
