Port Blair, May 12: The A&N Islands Khadi & Village Industries Board will be organizing an awareness campaign-cum-peoples education programme on Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and other Govt. sponsored self employment schemes at Ferrargunj under the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) at 10 am in the Panchayat Samiti Office, Ferrargunj on May 21, 2015.
The main objective of the programmes is to disseminate information to the participants about the role of A&NI KVIB and other Govt. Departments like Directorate of Industries, Agriculture, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, NYKS, MSME-DI and other likeminded agencies towards Rural Industrialization and employment generation through setting up of micro-enterprises duly availed finance under PMEGP and other Govt. sponsored schemes.
The awareness programmes will be followed by extension of consultancy services to the rural entrepreneurs such as preparation of project profile, execution of Affidavit, documentation, filling up of loan applications and other consultancy services under PMEGP scheme by the RURAL ICS Cell of the A&NI KVIB on the spot.
All the loan applications which will be received under PMEGP scheme will be placed before the District Level Task Force Committee for recommending the deserving cases to the concerned banks for finance under the captioned scheme.
All unemployed / underemployed youths of the concerned area who intend to setup their self employment ventures under manufacturing / service sector duly availing finance under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and other Govt. sponsored self employment schemes have been asked to attend the programme with relevant documents.
