Port Blair, Apr 09: A team comprising six IFS Officer trainees from Foreign Service Institute visited Port Blair from 06 – 08 Apr 15 as a part of their training program. During their visit these trainees visited Andaman & Nicobar Command, where a briefing was conducted for them to give them an insight into the uniqueness of the first Joint Services Command. Later on, the team visited Regional HQ of Coast Guard, Naval Ships and Floating Dock Navy. The team also visited Cellular Jail and witnessed Light and Sound Show later that evening. The Officer trainees were also taken aboard a Naval Ship to provide them sea experience and familiarize with the challenge faced by sailors.
